CA vs. SDP and FT student was created by nonsmoker2008
its confusing, and from what i can tell, extremely unfair!
as i get HRM and HRC i should be entitled to SDP but i'm not as my daughter goes to a semi local university and travels every day.
neither can she get carers allowance as, although her surpervised study is less than 21 hours per week, the uni class it as a full time course - which technically it is
seems very unfair that we can't get one or the other

Thanks Jim
it appears there is no way round it
you can't claim carers as her hours apparently mean she can't be a carer too
you can't say she's not got the time to be a carer as a different department deems she does
totally unfair
