Hi, just to let you know that my daughter got MRC and LRM for 2 years backdated to February, yesterday at her DLA appeal. We are fairly pleased with the result and advise everyone with this condition to persevere. My daughter is 20 and we both wrote our own detailed letters to the tribunal - I am her carer but didn't attend the tribunal, she went with her Dad. We didn't have much more in the way of evidence except her medical records and I enclosed the Clinical Working Case Definitions of ME/CFS which is part of the Canadian Consensus Document on ME/CFS (Bruce M. Carruthers, Marjorie I. Van de Sande)and underlined all her symptoms - these all matched up to evidence already in her medical records.
I hope this may be of some help to someone out there. Thankyou Benefits and Work for your advice to us.

Hi Elize,
Glad to hear of your daughters successful DLA appeal.
Also, thank you for posting again with the news, it really does give encouragement to others in a similar position.
Best wishes
Jim
