Hi All,

Just a brief note to let you know that if my husband Jim was dealing with a query from you, he won't be able to deal with it for a while.

Jim was admitted to the ICU of of a hospital in Preston ( around 80 plus miles round trip from our local hospital) in the early hours of this morning following a severe attack of brittle asthma & bronchiectasis.

He will remain on the ICU for about 48 hours, then if he stabilises, he'll spend about a further 5 days on the respiratory ward, or could be moved to our local hospital, subject to bed availability.

Steve and all moderators are aware of Jim's absence.

Thank you to all moderators who've sent Jim their best wishes, and for emails & 'phone calls.

I'm staying at the hospital family unit, but the mobile broadband here isn't so good, but will try to keep you updated.

Oh my goodness. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. A difficult time for you and please make sure he doesnt 'rush back' to duty here before he is ready.
