Hello Gordon and all
Thank you for that thread to the International, to be honest I had not seen that before, I will read tomorrow with more time.

I dont know what you guys and girls think, but ESA is not alot different to JSA in terms of Conts and IB based. IB which is not alot different to Income Support in that you have to be in the UK to claim it and also you have to live in the UK to claim it.

My worry was when the Conts base ESA runs out that after a year it then becomes IB which of course is UK based. As you say Gordon wait and see.

Sorry Costa I understood that IB/IS is not and has never been able to be claimed in anywhere other than the UK. DLA I understand you are able to claim if you are in receipt of a taxable benefit ie SRP/IB/ESA(conts based only) I am unsure whether you can claim DLA if you are living in the EA already even if you are in receipt of a taxable benefit. Perhaps someone else can help on that one.

I believe there is something on Directgov about Habitual Residence and what makes you HR in individual countries, as usual its a trickey one!
