Super quick medical demand was created by emma
So after my IB and DLA were stopped in September and reinstated following appeal in April, in August I got an IB50 and ATOS have summoned me for a medical on the 9th of November.
I'm terrified. I've just got over the last time they did this, and as Ive mentioned if I lose my IB I'll be incapable of finishing my social work course which finishes in May. I will then become extremely depressed as my life will be ruined,I will lose my career, my home, have huge debt and no chance of being employed as I was sacked from my last job for being mentally ill and will have no reason to resist my constant urges to self harm.
The ATOS man (who said he was "only doing his job" when I described the set up as evil-not historically a great excuse, that...) said that if I send further medical evidence I may qualify for a home visit, but there is no such thing as exemption any more despite my form stating clearly that I was suicidal and could they pleasde verify this with my consultant. They have made no effort to contact him or my GP and insist this medical go ahead on the 9th.
I'm not going to be able to function for sheer dread because I know exactly what will happen. I had to drag myself out of a serious depression in 2007 to begin this course, then battle it again and take out a loan to continue, and now I'm so close and I'm going to lose it all anyway. So much for work related activity.
I'm seeing my consultant tomorrow. If he were to contact ASOS and explain I am suidical over this would that be enough to call off the dogs? I only need another few months!
