DLA Indefinite Award!!!!

After a worrying three weeks fearing that my adapted car would disappear and I would lose my ESA as I'd received the third medical form in less than two years...
Letter arrived this morning-INDEFINITE AWARD and also upgraded to HRC!!!!!!
I would have jumped for joy-if I could.
Thank you to all the people who offered support when I was tearing my hair out, and to this website, a real life saver.
I hope it continues to help and support those of us who are sick, disabled and vulnerable to cuts through no fault of our own.
One question. How do I now move from WR group to support group for ESA?

If you think you should be in the support group for ESA purposes, you will need to write to the DWP and request a supersession of your ESA award.
It may be the case that the ESA decision maker will request that you attend for a further medical assessment to decide whether you meet the conditions of entitlement for the SG, but please also be aware that it is possible that when you ask to have the original ESA decision looked at again, the decision maker could decide that you do not qualify for any rate of ESA at all.
It would be in your interest to get specific advice if at all possible.

I'm very pleased to hear your good news.
From your previous thread last week ESA50 Questionnaire just arrived, I gathered that an ESA50 questionnaire just arrived (from the title alone).
Unless I've missed anything, as it is a struggle to keep up with all the posts on the forum, you still have to send in the form and may be required to attend a medical anyway. There is still the possibility that you could be placed into the support group after the medical.
Best wishes
Derek

just because you have now a new DLA award you will still have to fill in the new ESA form you have got in the post and the dla award might not have the affect you hope in getting you into the support group

Scary thought that ESA could be taken away even though my DLA renewal came back so positive. By the way, filled the form in exactly the same as three years ago and didn't fill in the 'tell us anything else' page as I'd had enough by then. I guess my G.P.'s report may have been more accurate as I emailed him before??
Have been to the CAB and have an appointment 26th October to help fill in ESA medical form. Hopefully this will be enough.
Got my newed Blue Badge today, so still on a bit of a high.
Will keep peeps posted to how I get on,
Liz
