Hi Gareth, good to see you're back.
I mentioned a joint claim earlier in the thread from information in another thread, Wish I had never moved house , posted 2 days ago.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Understood, however even JSA (as far as I know) isn't a trigger for a WFI.
As CD stated the benefits that may trigger a WFI are:-
Employment and support allowance (ESA)
Incapacity benefit (IB)
Income support (IS) on grounds of disability
Severe disablement allowance (SDA)
Here
Unless the rules have changed since this factsheet was produced i think the above still remains.

A JSA claimant doesn't have to attend WFIs because they are doing their fortnightly reviews, but I think claiming JSA is a trigger for the claimant's partner to have to attend WFIs.

Just found this with resect to WFI on the newcastle.gov.uk website Here
Partners
In some circumstances partners of people claiming Jobcentre Plus benefits are required to attend a work focused interview. This applies where the claimant gets:
Employment and Support Allowance (income related), Jobseekers Allowance - income based (not joint claim JSA), Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carers Allowance which includes an amount for their partner
and they have been continuously entitled for at least 26 weeks

Hi Jenny
The previous posts seem to explain why you have been called up for a WFI, but I'm still wondering, as you are not well enough to attend them, if you would be entitled to ESA.
Unless you know otherwise, please consider getting help from a local welfare advisor.
Best wishes
Derek
