Hi I have just been placed in the work related category but I have no idea how many points I was awarded, I just received my letter today, I am going to appeal against it has there is no way I am fit to do any kind of work, I have spoken to my dr and he as told me to appeal against the decision. any help would be greatfully received. thankyou

To appeal to be placed in the Support Group, you are going to have to show you meet one or more of the SG criteria.

The first thing to do is to request from the DWP your ESA85 medical report if you had a medical, or the ESA85A if you didn't. You should also ask for the ESA65 or a Statement of Reasons explaining what points you you scored for the WRAG.

To lodge an appeal you need to complete a GL24 Appeal form and return it within one month of the date on the Decision Letter awarding you ESA.
