seven months ago i had a letter from appeal board saying i will have a date to attend within six weeks still nothing should i ring them and should i win the appeal does ESA have to pay me back pay as i would be on higher money should i was awarded enough points at the medical any advice please.

Yes, it could be worth contacting the Tribunals Service Office dealing with your claim and enquiring when your appeal will be heard.
Normally should you win your appeal, backdating of payment usually occurs.
