esa failure so close was created by youngsteptoe
hi. everbody just rang up my local dwp to be given the happy news that i scored nine points on mental health decripters.when i explained to the very helpful lady that the good atos doctor had ignored my five other possible scoring activities.the young lady from the dwp seemed to think that this was some kind of victory for me.and not many people with mental health problems score any points at all.my question. is there any chance of the dm giving me the extra 6 points i need or is it high noon with the tibunal in six months time.

thanks in advance

Hi

You need to take advise from CAB or support worker. I was in the same position as you only scoring 9 points i contacted CAB who obtained a report from my gp. All this time as far as i was aware i was waiting for a date for tribunal, the week before my tribunal was due to be held i received a call from DWP to say that they were overturning the original decision due to additional evidance and jumped from 9 points to being placed in the support group. So take advice as quickly as you can. Good luck!!

Best wishes

You could ask the DWP for a reconsideration of the ESA adverse decision, but unless you can provide any further compelling evidence to refute the disallowance on your claim, an appeal tribunal would appear to be the way forward in your case.

Well done you :woohoo: Doesn't it just show what a complete and utter fiasco - and to a great degree, a waste of tax payers money using ATOS and (in my opinion) inexperienced & uninterested assessors to see everyone.

From 9 points to the support group without a full blown appeal per se is excellent for you - and I offer hearty congratulations, but honestly what a ridiculous way to get from A to B.

It must be costing tons of money for these mistakes. How much longer can it go on for?
