mistakes i made on dla form was created by martha
i have been turned down for dla after 10 years receipt. i have since found this site and realise how many mistakes i made filling in the form. i am now preparing my appeal using your advice. i have since spoken with other people who like me thought their claim was just a continum of previous claims and had no idea their previous info is destroyed. i thought they had a 'file' on me and it wasnt necessary to repeat everything they had heard before. my appeal will now be full of new info, making me look like a liar!! I have found it very difficult to find any legal help within the time limit for appeal. CAB are perm engaged, their email service is closed and are appointment only to visit, but i cant get an appointment cos their phone is on a taped answermessage saying try again later. welfare rights isnt suitable for me, they said, as i work and am not entitled to legal aid. has anyone else had problems and if so where did you go for help?

Could you make a subject access request for all the forms on DLA you have filled in since you started claiming? if they send you copy's of previous forms you filled in then they obviously have the info but were too lazy to look it up(well that's my opinion anyway)

Hi Martha

I used CAB but obviously you are having problems. Are you in a trade union at work if so they may be able to help you or put you in contact with someone who can. I must admit i had problems getting in contact with CAB and i got so desperate i went down to my local CAB and rung the doorbell as it was locked. I had seen people going in and found it was appointment only, so i explained i couldnt reach them any other way they were very good and made me an appointment. Have you got your tribunal date through yet? Hope this is of some help to you.

YOU MUST USE THIS--START FROM THE BEGINNING-INCLUDE EVERYTHING FROM THE 1ST SYMPTOMS GREATER THAN 5 YEARS YOU MAY GET UNLIMITED DLA
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/dla.php?fld=bw...b204e9800998ecf8427e
Hope this helps!!

I won an appeal before tribunal by rubbishing their reson to dismiss the claim. They cherry picked consultants reports, lost the dla doctoers report and had no idea of my partners true state!! ask 4 a review, go to tribunal copy and send all u have to them by registered post or fax them 1st and send RGP if they reject ask 4 yor file and compare with what they send back! i dont think the admin people file the stuff in the right place!! if u get back faxed files, ask 4 original copies you sent by registered post enclosing reciept-- theyr f----d
