Just wonder what would be the likely outcome, in the opinion of the helpful people on this board, if DWP were informed that a claimant receiving Contribution based ESA and HR Mobility and HR care were to travel longterm ( say two to three months) in Europe in a motorhome driven by the partner of that person in the interests of research for his self employed work? No work would be undertaken by the benefit receiver, and the warmer weather would be beneficial.
My second probably even more contentious question - what would happen if that person receiving ESA/DLA were to let out their house whilst they were away?
I know the mods cannot answer personal queries but wonder if anyone else on here could help or has any experience of this situation - or would like to proffer any advice or comments. Thankx. Lanie
Hi - just wondering if anyone can help me with any of this - I know you can be out of the country for four weeks on ESA and 26 weeks on DLA, but has anyone any experience of actually telling the DWP of plans to travel abroad? My husband is very keen to go, and I am extemely worried!
