Hello, Just to share some good news in that I have finally got DLA care benefits after a two year battle.I suffer from PA,diabetes, angina, sleep apnea and also CTS - carpel tunnel syndrome.I am on a tonne of medication, in pain 24/7 and I have been in/out of hospital numerous times because of health related problems. I had 2 appeals one of which was verbal, turned down.I appealed to the higher appeal which was also turned down. I found this site which helped me a great deal to fill in the forms correctly. While my new claim was being processed, I received a letter asking me to attend a medical a week later.I somehow knew that the DLA were looking deeper into my claim and was in two minds to go. I did go and it was like seeing my GP. The doctor asked me some medical history, then he looked at my joints and movement and then it was all over. Two weeks later I received the dreaded brown envelope and was relieved to see that my previous decline was reviewd based on new evidence and I was awarded care DLA.
I must say this that this site is woth every penny for the info contained here. A special thanks to all.
Fantastic news. Just goes to show that if you are determined and genuine, the right decision will prevail. Again, well done indeed you must be delighted.
Well done Johnny! Your perseverance paid off. I feel for all the people that are in your situation that would have given up before they got to this stage.
