Just like to say I applied for DLA and was successful first time,
I was awarded LRM Mobility and HRC.
The main reason I know I got it was I followed to the letter the instructions on this site, it took me three weeks to fill in my form.
I gave them every piece off information going back eighteen months, hospital appointments, doctors appointments, I also included a doctors report that was compiled for my ESA appeal.
I just was honest about my illness problems and sought to give them any information i had that was relevant. I also took this site advice and repeated things over and over again in response to the questions on the form.
I know that I am one off the lucky ones and there are people out there with just as much problems as me, whom have been refused, just keep your head down and keep going.
Just one question. I am in the WRAG group ESA and receive the highest Care rate DLA, am I entitled to a disability premium?
Thank you to all the members on this site who gave me information, and thank to the sites founders also.
regards,
WmWallace.

A disability premium is not payable under the ESA legislation, but it is unclear from the information I have available whether it is still payable with an award of DLA/ESA?
You will however be entitled to the enhanced disability premium in view of the fact that you receive the highest rate of the DLA care component, and possibly the severe disability premium if you meet the conditions of entitlement which are defined HERE.
To find out whether you may still qualify for a disability premium you could ring the Benefits Enquiry Line.
