Could anyone tell me how ill you have to be to be put in the support group? My son has been put in the WFHA group and the jobcentre advisor told me this was a succesful outcome as you have to be termally ill to be put in the support group.Because of this he has not appealed. He has a WFHA interview tommorow. My son lost his job after attending a medical at the firm he worked for, and they deemed him as unfit to carry out his job.
It's not a question of "how ill you have to be" to get into the Support Group of ESA it's a question of whether you satisfy one of the descriptors in the list.
If you look at Appendix 3 of this document in conjunction with the ESA guides from the Members Section of this site you'll see that what the person in the JC+ told you was a load of "spherical objects"
