hi all not been on for a while hope everyone is as well as can be, i would like some advice, i have quit bad back problems had them since 96 , since then ive under gone a disc-ectomy and had 3 neavre denavation for the pain i have now but they dont work so now left taking pain killers which make me feel awfull
anyway i ve tryed to claim dla 3 times now the 1st time about 7 years ago i was awarded h/r mobility low care but i never renewed the claim due to a marriage breakdown, since that ive tryed to claim again and was turned down and last year i tryed again and was turned down again because at the same time i was on esa and the medical rep said even tho its clear i do have problems she thought i could work and carry out day to day tasks! i am thinkin trying again now i see my consultant 3 weeks ago which said he do what ever he can to get my problems recodnised and wiv that has sent me and my gp a letter starting that my future prognosis is poor and he considers me to have a perminant disabilty
just wondering if any one would no he my chances are better now i have a letter from him as he is the top man at the pain management clinic?? i got more evedence from a chiropractor who performed scans and found i have arthritis in my joints at the bottom of my back, the dla had this evedence last time but still got turned down
not sure what to do the whole process is a nightmare , iam find daily tasks quit hard work and dont no what to do
be great to see what you all think

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

DLA is primarily awarded on ones Care and/or Mobility needs the condition that creates those needs are secondary. It may be an idea if you were to download and study the DLA guides available from the Members Section.

I have back problems as well and have on many occasions been told by people I have spongers decease.
I would say claim and send any medical information that you can with the claim and x-rays, the problem with x-rays is that, I believe, the hospital discard x-rays if they think they will be of no more use and to get a copy will cost £50 then extra, I think, to get copies of your computer or paper records
