Success At Long Last was created by bonnie box
On the 10th December last year just before Christmas I had my ESA stopped on the results of my ATOS medical. I appealed straight away and had my ESA payments re instated. I did long and lengthy homework on this site and followed the advise in the guides. I was unable to attend the appeal due to mental health issues a statement was given by my GP as to why so I went for a paper appeal. I today received news that my appeal was upheld and I am now on work related ESA . A full SIX month process that has not helped my condition and I am sure their are a lot of people in the same boat. In the mean time I had to attend work related RBLI sessions during the five sessions I had three different advisors that only had 25 minutes to 'support' me it was a disaster ! I do hope the government start to speed up these processes for appeals or at least change the way the ESA collect evidence. My main gripe was that no other individual named in my application was contacted e.g my GP,specialist they just scored me on the ATOS report! I am not sure how long I now get ESA or what they ask me to attend now but if anyone knows please feel free to reply ..

Hi,

Firstly congratulations on your success with your paper appeal - never easy ones to win, so well done.

How long before your next review will depend on what the Atos doctor wrote in your medical report. It should say how long before they expected any improvement. But most people are expected to be reviewed once a year, though this won't necessarily involve having to attend another medical.

After each review you may have to attend a single pathways interview.
