First PIP review was created by SJW
Hello
My first pip award will run out in July 2025.
The middle of November I received a pip review form. I have had a text to say my form has been received and that I will continue to receive my award whilst the review is happening. Does this mean potentially I will not receive my full 3 years of my original award if DWP decide I’m not longer entitled to receive PIP?

Hi SJW,
From what you've wrote - it's similar to what happened to me in 2022 - when mine was extended for 2 months, then revoked after my assessment when they awarded me 0 points. I took it to the MR stage, and then the courts, and before it got to the courts stage, the DWP come back to me to say they'd changed their decision, and awarded me the same as my original PIP claim, meaning I ended up with a lump sum backpayment, but yes, it did also mean I'd spent several months without PIP.
Chris.

I thought I would share my review times with you. My last review in 2020 was for 5 years ending in April 2025
. Got my “your review has started” text at the end of November 2023. That’s a good 18 months before my review ended.
I had to send my review in by Christmas Day! I phoned and got an extension but still managed to send it all before 31/1/24
Then nothing expect for 3 monthly texts saying “we are still looking at your award”
I missed a phone call from DWP at the beginning of November 2024, they didn’t phone back
I then got a new award letters which must have been a paper review until 2028. The text on the letter was all copied and pasted from my last award so someone had an easy day looking at my forms! I did follow all the guidance on here and sent a lot of evidence.
Reviews see, to be taking anbout a year for many people and I was actually quite glad they reviewed mine early as I had no problems with my blue badge renewal! Good luck
