UC -Carer- WCA was created by battyboo
I'm still being asked by the DWP to engage with a WCA telephone assessment after many emails to state I'm a carer so not available for work.
I did state health problems on UC application so I know it's my fault but as I claimed PIP I thought I should
I answer every message.I currently receive enhanced PIP mental health 3 year award in Jan 24 ,and physical issues.
I was told I don't have too but once again I've been sent a appointment.
My UC award does not give me support group or lower group . I don't want to be harassed by the DWP anymore.I would rather manage on the basic UC award and PIP .I can't stand the conditions it comes with .
Any advice? Thanks .
I cannot go through with the telephone assessment which is Thursday .
But I received a message to say if I don't it could affect my benefits. Can anyone advise .

Hi battyboo,
Yes you can completely ignore this telephone assessment if you wish. You're Benefits don't risk a reduction. What they mean is that you won't be considered for the additional payment for LCWRA. But if you receive the UC Carer's element you couldn't get the extra LCWRA amount anyway. So there is nothing to gain.

Hi David,
Sorry to jump on someone else's post does your advice apply only to a sole claim or if its a joint claim with carer element paid to just me?

Hi Sherlock63,
The same person cannot receive both the UC Carer's element and the LCWRA element. But the different members of the couple can receive them.

I cannot thank you enough for your reply ,I really feel like I can breathe again today
I had no idea that was the case regarding premiums , I didn't know what I got I just don't understand why they keep pushing for the WCA .
