I was due my WCA telephone assessment today at 10.45. They called me bang on 10.45 and it was a lady telling me they have sickeness today and could not do the assessment. She asked if I was okay to wait and see if they could find someone to do the assessment. It could be up to a couple of hours to find out. I said I can't, I had got myself prepared to do it this morning and my anxiety is too bad to sit waiting not knowing if it was going to happen or not and I have Aspergers and need routine and time to prepare myself so could they rearrange it. She didn't seem too impressed but said they would arrange another date and time. Did I do the right thing saying I couldn't wait? Now i'm worrying if they will rearrange it or just say I didn't answer. I recorded the phonecall so have proof what was said
I'm sorry to hear about your cancelled assessment. I know it's worrying, but you absolutely did what was right for you and your condition. Well done you, for recording the conversation - so should you need it you have a record. However, I'm sure that they will rearrange a new appointment. Tough if they didn't like what you said - the fault was with them - not you. I hope that you hear from them soon.
