UC50 Changes to Questionnaire and Automatic Qualification to LWRCA group? was created by Chaka Khan
Hello,
I was wondering if you could give me any further information regarding UC50.
Has the criteria for qualifying automatically for the LCWRA group of Universal Credit changed surrounding cancer?
September 24 -Gov -Universal Credit
May be asked to have an assessment if:-
-receiving or are about to receive treatment for cancer by way of chemotherapy or radiotherapy – or you are recovering from such treatment
Also the questions in the UC50 are different.
It is asking a health professionals opinion about cancer side effects and limited capability to work short and long term.
Previously it was asking for confirmation of cancer treatment only.
Any advice or insights appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Chaka Khan
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
I am not yet aware of any changes. I did a claim this week, so I will find out shortly.

Hi Gary,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes I have seen the information on the website, however there is nothing about the changes in the UC50 questionnaire surrounding cancer and any impact surrounding automatic eligibility to the LWCRA group as a consequence.
Any further findings would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again.

Hi Chaka khan
I have raised your question with the back office.
You usually do not have to complete a UC50 form if you have a SR1 form, all you usually need to do is get your doctor or consultant to sign the form.
