Does anyone know what if any statutory obligations DWP have to provide a transition mechanism to any major changes to the way PIP support would be paid, ie vouchers, catalogue etc.
Could they decide to stop actual payments mid claim/award?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Rich
If some of the changes the previous government talked about come into place - I'm sure there will be a transition mechanism put in place. Until they confirm what, if anything, is going to change, anything being said is simply speculation and cannot be clarified.
Steve will report on any changes in the newsletter.

Thanks BIS. The uncertainty is tantamount to Chinese water torture in effect.
So very difficult to put out of ones mind on top of everything else unwell people have to endure.
Labour's signposting thus far toward the vulnerable (easy targets) offers no comfort for sure.

Hi Rich
I blame the paper for putting it out there, it was an idea put in a green paper for feed back, unfortunately cetain papers portrayed it as something new coming in. Not heard anything about it since the general election.
