I thought I would share my experience of a successful PIP appeal. It was new to me but others might be well aware! I worked with a client whose PIP had been withdrawn on review in 2023. The appeal was successful and he was awarded higher rate for daily living and mobility. The surprise was that the tribunal backdated the payment to 2021 when the review should have happened but was deferred because of COVID. So anyone appealing a decision that was deferred should ask for backdating to the original planned review date.
