Replied by Mr Roy on topic ESA Ending for Wife soon, who has to apply for Pension, BUT I have not
Hi Gordon....
I tried to apply for my Pension, using the " Unique " Invitation code they sent, but it was rejected, as not valid......and the DWP are looking into it......Very Odd Indeed.....
Anyway, my Wife has recieved her " State Pension Amount " letter, and its quite generous, just under £1000 per Month, BUT it states it is just for her.....
So once again, I'm asking if I DO actually recieve my State Pension, would it affect the amount she recieves, or would I get a seperate / payment amount completely.....
Any Advice would be welcome again, mate.....

Hi Mr Roy
State Pensions are now paid to the individual at £203.85 pw providing you have paid enough contributions, it is called New State Pension, some claimants will get a higher amount others may get a lesser amount.
To be eligible to claim a State Pension you have to apply, you can apply up to 3 months before you reach state pension age.
Some claimants who receive less than £203.85pw may be able to claim Guarantee Pension credit to top up their State Pension. We would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation to make sure you are getting all your benefit entitlements; advicelocal.uk

Hi Gary.....
I recieved another " Claim your Stae Pension " letter yesterday, with it's " Unique " ref Number on it for me, so filled it in and it looks like I could get my Pension backdated by 12 Months, so fingers crossed on that one....

Hi Mr Roy
Remenber the old adage, what you get in one hand is removed from the other 😉
