Pip, WTC & UC was created by Evesmum
I currently receive PIP at the standard rate and WTC as I work part time from home when possible, sometimes I have to go out to work. I am being transferred over to UC, and It is stressing me out such a lot. I won't qualify for UC when the migration takes place as I have a 50% share in a house which is rented out. In the meantime, I have received so many things to do, appointments etc on my journal. My questions are, if you can help me are: how long is the migration period for-how long will I still receive WTC for until it moves over to UC. Do I really need to attend these meetings as I won't qualify for UC, and I suffer with severe anxiety and depression. I am scratching myself until I bleed now, just worrying about it all. Please can anyone advise me?

Hi Evesmum

There will be some claimants who will loose out when they are to apply for UC.

Once you receive the invitation to migrate letter you have 3 months in which to apply, in the meantime your WTC will stay in payment.

I would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation as you need to seek specialist advice; advicelocal.uk

If you do not qualify for UC then you do not have to put yourself through the stress, but seek advice before you do anything, one way or the other.
