My PIP review form was due by 14 September, however, I received a letter dated 10 September saying my PIP has been stopped because my form hadn’t been sent on time. The letter was produced 4 days before the deadline. As a result my PIP has stopped and I’ve lost a sizeable chunk of my ESA.
I told my GP about this and she said that a couple of weeks ago another of her patients had the same thing happen to them.
Is this a coincidence or are other people in the same situation?
I have heard of this happening before. I hope you got onto the DWP to get your PIP reinstated. They may try and argue that you should have sent it in a week before the deadline - but if necessary, you tell them that there is nothing in their notes that says this, and it would mean you had a week less than the month allowed. If you haven't got it back, or they refuse when you phone, ask for a call back from a case manager. I would also raise this with your MP.
Hope you get it sorted.
