First thanks for everyone who posts and replies on this forum, they say to be forewarned is to be forearmed, to all those still going through the process, do not give up.

Ok so the good news is, that after I put in for an appeal, PIP made me an offer for Enhanced daily living and Standard disability, before this, I was on standard daily living and enhanced Mobility, apparently capita did a reassessment after I made an official complaint to them the original assessment was in May.

As on the letter I got from PIP last week, i was only offered standard for both, but the person i spoke to today said , there's been a reassessment and in that, they said- capita that i should have enhanced daily living but no mobility, but she was prepared to stick to the standard moblity she offered in the letter.

This reassessment must have only taken place in the last few days, anyway.

Now when I asked why my standard Mobility was dropped i was told that the rules have changed, and because I only leave the house on average about once a month, I am no longer entitled to enhance Mobility even though i only leave the house when someone is with me, covered by descriptor F, "Cannot follow the route of a familiar journey without another person, an assistance dog or an orientation aid. " they said to meet this descriptor i must need someones else's help to leave the house on the majority of days, so my question is, is this valid?

Has the descriptor eligibilities changed?

Thank you

The Descriptors have not changed but their interpretation has due to a three-judge Upper Tier Tribunal which is binding on all parties.

The ruling affects Descriptor (e) and Descriptors (d) and (f).

The ruling considers a claimant's abilities for the majority of days.

If the claimant is unable to leave the house on the majority of days then their ability to follow a route cannot be considered. So (d) and (f) do not apply.

If they cannot follow a route on the majority of days then they must be able to leave the house and (e) does not apply.

From your post, it has been assumed that on the majority of days, you cannot leave your home and have therefore been scored for (e).
