Hello all Could you help with the following please... A friend received a long award for PIP for complex health probs this year, both physical and mental health. He is 1 year off retirement age and hopes not to get another ESA Review before then. I recently discovered he could make a claim for Attendance Allowance as he has arthritis and leg mobility issues ...could have done years ago, in fact. He is really struggling practically and financially. He is worried about putting in a claim for AA in case AA informs ESA and PIP and triggers a review. His condition remains as it has been for many years, no change in that or in his daily (poor) functioning. Is he right to be cautious and not put in a claim for AA before retirement age? Do PIP and ESA also need to be told if/when he applies for AA? Many thanks.
