Applying for LCWRA does it risk PIP award? was created by Emma Tremor
After a long drawn out battle for PIP last year, which followed zero points awarded and the same at MR I went to tribunal and was awarded enhanced care and mobility which to credit the decision maker at DWP they accepted and turned into an ongoing award (10yrs review - apparently). I was so exhausted from the battle that lasted over a year that when I was told to apply for LCWRA soon I didn't have the energy to look into it.

For info I have FND and FCD which with my symptoms are very similar to Parkinson's ie tremors, memory loss, speech problems and severe mobility problems, I also have ASD which means I have very little contact with other people and due to my FND I can't reliably get words out or speak most days, so that doesn't help with social contact anyway!
I realise that I should be able to apply for UC benefits for me ie LCWRA as my husband works full time but obviously with just his wage and my pip after paying the mortgage and bills there's not a lot left for food etc. I am very anxious about applying even though on paper I should get it but that's what I thought about Pip (but zero award and uphill battle) and I am worried about losing my PIP award.
Do any of the mods or members have any experience of this issue or know if filling in the es50 alerts the dwp? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi Emma Tremor

Applying for ESA/UC will have no impact on your PIP award. They will know that you receive PIP, but it doesn't matter. Plenty of claimants have ESA and PIP or just PIP or just ESA.

Put in your application, and I hope that it is an easier process than PIP.
