Independent Assessment services timeframe was created by Nessnoss
Hi, so I was hoping for some clarification if possible. My PIP review was sent back in October 22 and since then I have had a few text messages from DWP making me aware they have my reviews and on August 4th I received a text message from the independent assessment services stating they have my review and currently there is nothing I have to do they will contact me if needed. The DWP has also extended my reward until August 24 to allow time to complete review.
So I contacted PIP enquiry line just for some clarification regarding the whole process timeframe etc. The lady stated that the independent assessment services should have completed assessment by 15th September and I may have a phone call, face to face or paper assessment.
So my question is do the DWP give the independent assessment services a timeframe to complete an assessment as I had not heard of this before?

Hi Nessnoss
If the DWP is giving IAS a timeframe to complete assessments - it's not information they are sharing with anyone else - so I can't tell you whether they are doing with with some assessment or it is a new procedure.

Hi Nessnoss,
I have more or less the exact review times and communications as yourself. Last week I had another text out of the blue, telling me I had a face to face assessment review in two weeks time. On top of this it is in a different city, I do not know and at 9am. Oh well get it over with I suppose. Best of luck to you!

Thanks BIS, I thought it was an odd comment to say from the DWP, maybe I misinterpreted what the lady was actually saying or maybe it is a new procedure … guess I can wait and see
