When completing my NSESA application I withheld consent for my GP to be notified of the outcome.
Today whilst checking my medical record for a test result I found a note saying that I had been found not fit for work. When I looked further into it there is a letter from the DWP informing my GP that I have had a WCA assessment, the outcome, date of decision, and that the GP should not issue any further fit notes.
For reasons I am not going to discuss on open forum I had a very good reason for not wanting my GP to be notified of the outcome of the WCA.
I am very unhappy about this. Quite literally fuming at the gills.
Is this a common occurrence? Do I have any recourse? And if so, could complaining about this cause any problems with my claim?
You are not the first person to mention this has happened to them. I can't tell you whether or not it is a common occurrence. You are free to complain about this breach, and complaining won't affect your claim.
