Hi Merry
We have always quoted the 48-hour rule, and most of our members and other people we have worked with have been able to receive it in that timeframe apart from if their report went for audit. I can't tell you if it was originally written down - but it's what I was always taught. Has something changed because of COVID? Certainly not with the Independent Assessment Services - the reports are still available after 48 hrs. Perhaps Capita has agreed on a different timescale or perhaps as they said they never did have that timescale - but I have never heard someone on this forum having the difficulty you are having. The only way you will know is to ask the DWP (Though whether a call handler will know I have no idea.)

I would certainly argue that the accuracy of a report delivered 6-8 weeks after the assessment must be called into question, how many other claimants has the assessor interviewed in that time whose details they could confuse with your own?

ok - last time I messaged i was still waiting for pip reprot to be done despite chasing. 2 weeks ago, ie nearly 8 weeks after tel assesment they told me they'd escalate it to a manager to see why report not done.
Today they call to say they will be doing a new tel assessment!!!!!!
Last one was over 2 hrs long- gave no reason why original report never transpired.
I am afraid in my utter distress i said just forget it and hung up in tears

I would guess that the report from the previous assessment was either incomplete or not to the required standard, it's even possible that it was not produced at all. I'm afraid the Assessment Providers (AP) have a high staff turnover and it can lead to these issues.
Trying to put a positive spin on it, at least you know what to expect and should be able to prepare.
You say you are distressed by what has happened, would your GP be willing to write to the AP requesting a Paper review for you?

the even more odd thing is I recall now that at the start of the tel call, the lady asked me if it was ok for her assessment to be monitored and that a nother person would listen in on the calll but not make any comments. I said yes as didn't think about it really and she then "dialled" them in. Surely 2 people cannot be wrong or lose everything? At one point when i called to chase they guy said i can see the draft but it hasn't been released/finalised yet or something.
I can ask my gp but would i have to make a complaint against capita to do so? Its all overwhelming
