Form AR2 PIP was created by bluejay52
I was wondering if anybody could please clarify this.
3 years ago or so I had a face to face medical assesment.
The upshot of this was I was awarded HR mobility and middle range care for an ongoing period.(I had previously been on DLA and had the same benefits).
I am 70 years of age.
Do I take it that I can expect to go through all of this form filling again even before the ten years has elapsed.?. My medical condition is slightly worse I now have to inject myself once a week for rheumatoid arthritis, but my other drugs have stayed the same likewise my other condition(s) that I suffer from.
Kindest regards and thank you.

Hi legen73
Unfortunately you will be reassessed again sometime in the future as you were born after 08/04/1948. If you were given an ongoing award then this is usually for 10 years, so you should hear from DWP after 9 years. Make sure you kept a copy of your previous claim, you can use this as a template, if you did not keep a copy, you can request a subject access from DWP and they will send you a file with your information; www.gov.uk/guidance/request-your-persona...or-work-and-pensions
In your post you say that you were awarded High rate mobility and middle rate care for an ongoing period but then go on to say that you had previously been on DLA, this had me wondering if you are still on DLA.
If you are now on PIP, then you should be on enhanced mobility and standard daily living components. Under PIP there is no high or middle rate and no care component, care component is now called the Daily Living component.

If I ask for a subject access way before I need it, what are the chances of a early light touch review being triggered?.
Or is it a unknown?
Thank you in advance

Hi legen73
You are absolutely correct ....... it is a unknown
I have never known a SAR to trigger a review, let alone a light touch review.
