Dear B&W Just wanted to ask your opinion. I sent my pip review form in back in October last year. I called 2 weeks ago to request an update on status of my application and was told that it was looked at 4 weeks ago and it now with the CM in workload date order. It was now been with them for 39 weeks which the guy said they usually say around 36 weeks waiting time due to backlog issues. The said I should receive a text message saying something like " we have now made our decision " something along those lines he said and the I should receive a decision letter in the post. Does this mean a decision has been made?? HHe also added that if the review is still not completed by my end of award which is in August it will be extended by a year automatically. Im confused as to what is actually happening? Its has made my multiple health conditions considerably worse waiting all this time and continue to wait. Would appreciate your view. Thank you in advance.
We are not assessors so unable to give you a definitive answer, there has been a massive backlog which has upset everything, we used to be able to give a reasonable time for assessments but it varies across all regions.
If you have received a text message then yes a decision would have been made, positive or negative.
Sorry we cannot be more specific.
Gary
