Tribunal and DWP offer was created by Anita
Hi,
Ive seen another post about tribunal for PIP which has confused me.
If I have rejected DWPs offer after starting an appeal, I can use their offer to strengthen my case at tribunal? And if the tribunal are going to award me less than DWPs offer, tribunal will alert me to make me aware then, I can accept DWPs offer and my case is closed?
Is that correct please?
Thank you
Regards
Anita

Hi Anita
No it is not correct.
If you reject an offer then the offer is off the table, I usually advise claimants to accept the offer, once it is in payment then renew your appeal, whilst you are waiting for a new hearing date you will be paid what ever DWP have offered.

Hello,
Just revisiting this post. As my latest post says I'm waiting for a new tribunal date after my tribunal was adjourned on Monday. The Judge specifically said I had 8 poins for daily living and 4 for mobility. As you've said that if I accept the offer I can renew my appeal.
How do I do this? What's the process please?
Thank you
Regards Anita

Please try and keep all of your posts about the same situation in one forum topic, it makes it very difficult for us to support members if we have to go chasing around the forum to get an accurate picture of what is going on.
So, you are awaiting a new hearing, this must mean that you rejected the DWP's offer and as Gary has already said, the offer is gone and your only way forward is the appeal although you can use the DWP's offer as evidence to support at least part of your appeal.

Hello,
I'm so sorry to confused, this is never my intention.
I thank you or your response.
For future reference, hopefully I'm never in this position again. Can you please tell me the process? Or where I find this information?
Thank you and once again huge apologies.
Kind regards Anita

Hi Anita
There is no need to apologise, for future reference if you have another question concerning the same post, just click on Action, then reply. It is hard to follow what some one is asking if they make numerous new posts rather than posts following on from previous posts
In answer to your question from reading your original post, the tribunal has adjourned your case, if you withdraw your case, DWP may not make a new offer and therefore you will be at the startback to where you started from.
If you already have been given 8 points then I would wait until the Tribunal have made a decision.
You do need to get advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk
