Hi, I just thought I'd mention this on the forum in case it's happened to anyone else or it could be about too...... I was due to receive my statement for my UC payment last week, and it never arrived. I've sent 6 messages over 5 days in my journal, and have yet to receive a response. I've left messages in the payments section, work coach section, and even the service issues section. I contacted UC helpline yesterday to ask why I've not had a statement, and also not been paid ( as it's due today ) and was told just to wait on a case manager responding, to which they haven't as yet. I contacted the helpine again today, and although the gentleman I spoke to could not answer why, he has left a message in my journal saying that my case manager has to respond by tomorrow. There is an ongoing check with my finances which has been going on since May, as I was awarded a large lump sum from DWP backpayment in May 2022, of which I believe it's dis-regarded for a year. As my bank balance is still over the £6k, I've been told DWP are still reviewing it to check if my UC needs to be dropped or not, but what I can't understand is that I was paid in May, and June without issues, but then all of a sudden this month, I've not been paid, and I haven't received any warning why not. So, just to inform anyone that maybe has an ongoing investigation of your capital, then this could happen to you without any warning.

Hi - a further update to anyone reading this - so I was requested by the DWP to submit all my bank statements (3 accounts) of which I did, but DWP responded asking why I didn't declare all my accounts ( 5 listed ) - 3 of them, no trouble with, the other 2, after hours of checking old paperwork and statements, turned out to be from a bank account not used since early 2021, and this is what has blocked my UC. I have luckily found a copy of the accounts closure letter, to which I am submitting to the DWP, then hopefully my UC will be restarted, as I was informed by the manager that she had put a block on my UC payments until they'd seen all 5 accounts, and for a full year this time, not only 4 months. I've given them the 3 accounts which are currently in use, no problem, but also the accounts closure letter of the other 2, and I have also informed them that I can't obtain statements for 2022 and 2023 to an account which was closed in 2021. So, please be aware that should your UC payments stop suddenly, then this could also be a reason, that the DWP simply have old information still stored on their system.
