PIP review incoming - any advice on what to include was created by Anxious Anonymous
So it’s finally here, my first ever PIP review. I’m actually worse now than when I first applied but trying to get hold of medical evidence is difficult.

So I’m wondering, what should I include in terms of medical evidence? What other things can I include.

Hi Sierra

You would do well to have a look at the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews. The review information starts on page 128. You should find the answer to your question in those pages.

You can get a relative to write a letter confirming what they know about your struggles. It helps if they cover some of the topics in the PIP questions. You could also keep a diary - even if it's for a few days. You can see some examples among the guides.

I have a few questions.

I have letters from psychiatrists but there’s information I would like to cover up that they have written. How do I go about that? Should I put tip ex over the bits I don’t want them to see or leave the letter out entirely?

Also, for new conditions. I don’t have a review for ESA/UC due and I haven’t notified them yet that I have ADHD or potentially autism too. If I tell them in my PIP review, will this land me in trouble with ESA/UC?

Hi Sierra

You should only include a letter from a health professional if you believe it's going to help your case. Never include anything that could undermine your case.

Although people do submit information with some redacted, I would only advise people to do this if it is really necessary. It can arouse suspicions on what might be missing.

Your assessor will be looking at your PIP review - they won't be looking at your ESA notes.
