PIP engaging with other people face-to-face was created by Gary
Hi I got awarded the highest PIP for both categories a few months ago (Mainly thanks to this wonderful site).
I also wrote to the DWP after this saying that due to the high court ruling on this could they review my PIP claim for the past few years. I have written twice and received no response but my carer rang and they said they were reviewing all cases but this was months ago. Do they have any deadlines or anything. It seems wrong they just do not respond to letters sent 3 months apart. Thanks

Hi Gary
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
If they do have a deadline for reviewing all cases they certainly haven't published it, so you can keep chasing, but at the end of the day you will have to wait.
I'm not excusing them not replying to letters, but they tend not to reply to those where they are already taking an action. The DWP are also behind with many things as they struggle to cope with among other things one million additional applications for Universal Credit. In all areas people are reporting long waiting times for replies.

I wrote to them over a month ago asking them to review it and I have had no response either. I guess we will just have to wait and see........I wont hold my breath though even though it is quite clearly wrog. I have just had my telephone assessment and was awarded points on these grounds this time around.
