Just wanted to add my voice to those thanking Gordon and co. for this absolutely fantastic website. I put off applying for PIP for a long while because I was terrified to go through the process due to my mental health conditions. My assessment was cancelled and rescheduled which caused yet more immense stress. I read and reread every single resource on this website and many forum answers too.

Today I got my PIP report back. It's strange because my assessor called me 0 points, but the score was queried and reviewed, and I was reassessed as scoring 13 points for daily living i.e. the higher rate! Obviously I won't count my chickens until I have the decision letter (and frankly the money in my account!) - but out of interest does anyone know what might have triggered my case to be reviewed like that?

In any case thank you so much for creating this wonderful resource. It was the best investment I could have made!

All the very best x

Hopefully, the DM will go with the revised points recommendation.

Sorry,I am confused.
How did they change the points score. Was it the DWP directly or did you have a Mandatory Rrconsideration?

Perhaps you are one of the few hundreds of thousands that are being reviewed following the changes to how psychological conditions are scored?

When you said, you queried the '0 points' report, did you mean you sent a letter to the DM? In which case, the DM may have taken into account the information in your letter and reviewed the scores.

My copy of the report also showed 0 points, despite worsening of my conditions since obtaining 12 points for each, 2 years ago, so I sent a letter to the DM with the hope my report will be reviewed and reflect my circumstances more accurately.

From the OP's post, the assessment report was changed before it was submitted to the DWP, likely due to an audit.

Hi everyone, just seen your questions.

I agree, it's very strange.

I've never been on any disability benefit but theoretically been eligible for at least 5 years. Applied for PIP and did my assessment with ATOS in December. Requested my report from the DWP.

I then received a text on 13/12/18 saying report had been received. Then a second identical text on 27/12/18. I assumed this was a clerical error.

Today I saw a huge brown envelope which could only be my report. But it contained my assessment report (0 points), what I believe is a PA6 Supplementary Advice Note (Change of Advice). This contains queries from the DWP (it specifically says the DWP queried it, though the answer as to why I have no idea) over multiple descriptors, and suggests different descriptors for me across 7 of the categories (meals, washing, dressing, managing therapies, bathing, engaging with others and budgeting).

It then includes a response from ATOS where they agree with the suggestions and state that they have reviewed my evidence and the report is being redone by the escalation team.

It then contained a second report. It is identical to the first, but the original information is bracketed with 'please ignore bracketed information'. Then the new information and descriptors. The second report puts much more weight on my additional evidence (I submitted loads) and scores me 13 points.

I have no idea why this has happened? But I am holding out to get a decision letter based on the second report.

Hope that answers your questions.
