Now I have just had a letter saying that they are witholding payment of my 'CONTRIBUTION BASED ESA'
due to a possible overpayment dating back to a time when they stopped my esa before
I immediately rund ESA to ask about this letter and they told me to ignore it, it would be in result to my esa being dissallowed
I asked her which ESA I was actually on because my pathways to work adviser kept telling me CONTRIBUTION BASED...
yet when I ring up ESA they tell me income related...
I have two seperate letters here from DWP one saying I am on CONTRIBUTION BASED the other saying INCOME RELATED...
Am I the only person that gets absolutely stressed and confused with all of this ............

Yesterday I got 3 letters all dated the same date from the JCP. One telling me I was going to get contribution based ESA, one telling me I was going to get income based ESA, and one saying I wasn't going to get ESA.
Worse still, the one telling me I wasn't going to get ESA had an amount on that I was going to be paid weekly and the date I was going to be paid from. Where they got this particular amount from I have no idea - complete fiction!
Good luck in sorting it out.

Three days later I received two more almost identical letters, both dated the same date, one stating I was to get income related ESA, one stating I was to get contrib related ESA.
If it wasn't so frustrating it would be laughable.
I have written again to the manager as per their complaints procedure. I will take it further if I hear nothing within a week.
I did initially try telephoning but the promised returned calls never happened so I'm sticking to letters.
I hope your case is fairing better.

I actually sent my complaint via email to the the chief exec, they must of handed it down to the district managers office, who have rung me and told me that they will reply in writing in reference to my complaint, I have been reffered to a different pathways to work adviser though, so at least I wont have to deal with my old one, I find this whole situation so stressful. Here is the email address of chief exec you may find that any complaint you send to them will get dealt with This email address is being protected from spambots. Hi Missy,
If you recall when you asked for advice on who to complain to, I did include an e-mail address in This thread
Glad to hear you now have a new Pathways to Work Adviser, hope they treat you much better
Best wishes.
Jim
