Success was created by Chrisb
After 3 days away knowing the brown envelope was at home waiting for me, I was thrilled and relieved to find I have been put in the support group.
Thank you for all the information you supply on here and to other forum users whose posts about there experiences helped me through this very stressful process.
I posted a couple of questions which were responded to clearly, but mostly searched key points relevant to the stage I was up to. It is my first ever claim.
Not sure what happens next....do I still send fit notes in?
The assessment/ medical was quite straightforward, lady was very polite and showed quite a lot of empathy during it. my condition is a physical one and so quite obvious to see, she put all my information back together for me and carried it back to reception handing it to my friend who had driven me there......I can now get on with my life. thank you all again for providing this site. Chris

Congratulations on the award, well done.

Once your ESA award is in payment then you do not need to provide any further Fit Notes.

Hello Gordon , would you recommend that I request a copy of the report? Would that be usual after being put in the support group?
Thank you

It's really up to you, there's no harm in doing so, it will allow you to understand how the award was made and the prognosis is used to set the reassessment date.

Contact the DWP office dealing with your claim and ask for the ESA85 if you had a face to face or the ESA85A if you did not.
