success we won the appeal was created by LINDAT2626
Hi I am not sure how to do this but I need to say a big thank you to all at Benefits and Work.
By reading and using your examples and guides I have just won my appeal today for ESA and now placed in the support group. Judge and doctor were lovely people and put us at ease. Judge said he recommended not to be assessed again as will be a pension age in 3.5 years. Went from 0 points to 15 on mobility alone but he said that there would have been more points awarded but did not feel the need for those and now placed in the support group. Your guides gave us the confidence to feel confident of this outcome so again thank you so much!!! Lets see if DWP comply or challenge now.

That's brilliant, well done.
It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result, you might want to ring them in couple of days to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

Hi do you know how far they should go back with the back pay- is it the date of the assessment which is OCT 16 or Jan 16 when I applied for ESA.
also I had to get income support since the appeal as they did not reinstate the esa as requested.this was over 30 pounds a week less than the amount you get in the support group.

If this was a new claim for ESA then it will be from the beginning of week 14 of the claim, minus any benefits that you actually received in the interim.
