Hello after a long haul I have won my appeal for pip at tribunal ( on a paper hearing)!!!! What is the likelihood that dwp will not pay me? ( I know the tribunal has no powers over this) also what's the waiting times like for backdated payments being made? This site has been a massive help and is a mind of information, thankyou
The likelihood of DWP nor paying is low. They do sometimes decide to ask for a Statement of Reasons from the Tribunal . This would be because they hope to find an Error of Law and take the case to the Upper Tier Tribunal. However, it is not common for this to happen.
It usually takes around 8 weeks for the decision to be acted upon and payment made. You might be able to speed this up by sending DWP a copy of your decision letter.
