Massive thanks to the brilliant guides here, I've just received the news that my MR for increasing my mobility from standard to enhanced has been successful - yay!

They've said that the increased rate will be backdated to the date of the original decision - surely this should be backdated to the date I rang them to report a change in my condition? If they are agreeing that my worsened condition means that my mobility is significantly more affected, then the new rate should be payable from that date?

Thanks

Congratulations on the award, was the original Decision not in your favour as you mention an MR?

If the reassessment was the result of you reporting a Change, which appears to be the case from your previous posts, then it should apply from the date that you contacted them providing you have been suffering from the increased disability for at least three months at that time.
