Won ESA appeal! backdated money query was created by cazzy
Hi, I won my ESA appeal last week following a failed reassessment. I have been put back into the WRAG group but I am confused about backdated money that I may be owed... I have been getting the assessment phase rate since June last year which is £30 a week less than I was getting before.. do I now get this backdated? am I owed £30 a week since June? also I have seen on the news about them cutting the £30 from people in the WRAG group.. will this affect me? or is this for claims after April?? sorry all the questions but I am so confused!! Thanks for any help.

Congratulations on winning your appeal.
You will receive the difference between what you have been paid and what you should have been paid as a back payment, so basically the £29.05. This will be from the date of the Decision that found you Fit for Work to when your ESA goes back into payment.
It normally takes the DWP 5-8 week to process a Tribunal result.
It might be worth your calling the DWP to make sure that they have received the Tribunal's Decision Notice.

Will I then always get the extra £29.05 in future once they have processed everything? Will the cuts to WRAG affect me or is it just for new claims? Thanks
