I would just like to say a big thank you to all at Benefits and Work, using your guidance I have now been awarded P.I.P. At enhanced rate for ongoing period. Without your guidance I would not of put so much detail and information into my application. That lady who did my assessment however was very nice and did put me at ease, unlike the previous time were the doctor was unbelievably rude. Many thanks Chris.

I've been worried and scared for over 2 years now, that when my turn came, that my DLA payments (High level mobility and low level care - indefinitely) would all be taken away.
I did my research on this site, and was well prepared, but still felt the same way. My face to face interview went well, I thought, but when the PIP award letter came, I had received low level mobility only. I felt there was plenty of evidence in my claim, supported by GP and consultant letters however, for me to request a mandatory consideration.
Though scary, and fearing that I may even lose out on that, I requested a reconsideration, highlighting just those areas where I felt I should have received more points. Thanks in a big way, to the information and guides I found here, I recently received my reconsideration letter and was awarded high level mobility and standard level care. I'm absolutely over the moon - especially as my review date is now in 2023.
I'm writing this to give some hope and confidence to others to try to help them through the nightmare of having to go through all of this again. None of us who have been unfortunate enough to suffer a disability in the first instance, should have to endure the additional pressures of going through this demeaning and threatening experience and I just hope that reading this post gives someone, somewhere else, some comfort and hope.
Please please please read as much as you can from this site and draw on the experiences of others. Prepare well and be prepared to fight for your rights. I wish you all the very best. You deserve it. Andy
