Hi,

Well, after sending my PIP application form last week, couple of questions: Is it likely that I will get a telephone call, if so, should I answer it? I have a screening on my phone (to stop all the nuisance, cold callers) anyway, would it benefit me to answer? what is the usual reason for the calls?

thank you

There's no reason for the DWP to contact you, the Assessment Provider may, especially if they want you to take a short notice appointment, but you do no t need to take these calls if you do not want to.

Hi,

Is there any value on insisting that I sit next to the HP during my assessment, as is states on the Atos website. This will enable me to see what they are actually writing, and if need be, challenge things written. or, do they write their opinions after the assessment is over?

thank you

It's up to you and of course, the assessor on the day.

Most of the report is written during the assessment but they will add their opinions and recommendations after the claimant has left.

HI,

Received a support letter from my Neurologist this morning, adequate I think, not gone into detail of the condition, just a paragraph stating how it effects me, offering to supply further info if needed. My questions is, should i send it on, or take it to my assessment, (bit worried it might get 'lost') if I send it,

Many thanks

I would do both, send it the Assessment Provider address when they contact you and take a copy to any face to face that you have.
