PIP appeal result

After seventeen years of getting DLA at the highest rate for care and lowest for mobility the DWP decided that she now got no points at all! We appealed this and used a lot of the advice on here to persuade the appeal panel to disregard the DWP's assessment as it was based on an inaccurate "medical" performed by a paramedic who, I feel, should not be allowed to assess those with mental issues. There was a lot of errors and inconsistencies in the HP's report.
The appeal tribunal panel agreed and formed their own opinion. My daughter has now been awarded the standard rate for both care and mobility.
This is not as good as we were hoping for, but it is a lot better than the DWP offered!
The panel also said that she should get this benefit until mid 2018. I am pleased with this aspect of it as it now (if the DWP accept it) means that the stress is lifted for a couple of years and my daughter can get some help from the Mental health team who have been working with one hand tied behind their back due to the stress this has caused my daughter.
Thank you for the advice I've received.
