Daughter finished degree, signed on, got UC. Then got part time job working Tues and Thur, WFI's on Tues so advisor changed day to Wed, so far so good, Then 2 months later gets letter threatening sanction as missed a Tues appointment!. Rings up, explains worked on that day, not a Good Enough Reason as didn't phone up, got sanction. They missed the fact she attended day after and sanctioned for week plus 7 days. Asked for reasons and MR. Just shortened to 1 day plus 7 - bonkers - totally ignored fact she was working!
Sent in appeal stating facts are in her file, appointment changed as working. They backed down and relented after looking at "new evidence" that was there in the beginning! Sanction cancelled.
Again no mention of working, I would have thought that would have overridden the appointment. Just shows how hell bent they are on sanctioning. All that just for a clerical error on their part.
Only able to fight the stupidity through knowing right procedures as found on this site. Many thanks.
