lower rate care component awarded by the tribunal

Im pleased to say, after a 19 month battle with the DWP; which involved a medical, 2 tribunals and a mountain of reports, letters and paperwork I have been awarded PIP by the tribunal panel. I was awarded lower rate care which is to be paid from the 20th December 2013 - 20th December 2016.

This is after 2 points, which was reduced to 0 at appeal for no good reason other than what seemed to be a punishment for the cheek of appealing?

I am so elated, which is rare and I can finally get on with my recovery and treatment.

Congratulations on winning your Tribunal Appeal and being awarded Standard Rate Daily Living PIP !!

You should allow 6 to 8 weeks for DWP to action this decision !

I advise everyone considering appealing to do so! I nearly didn't due to the stress but my psychiatrist told me to fight which i did, i didnt even say good bye to the panel of the tribunal, i said "can i go?" They said 'yes' so i got up and walked out.

What i didnt understand was what year they were assessing me on ie dec 2013 i aplied, so i thought it would be dec 2012 to dec 2013. But the courts asked for a medical report from 1/1/2014 onwards? I presume the claimants waiting as long as me would be asking the same question?
